Ukrainian sweets from the past
Millions of people all over the world love the traditional cuisine of their country.
And also a lot of people to get the recipes from the hours of their ancestors. The company "TriStar" for the preparation of its products vikoristovuyu only recipes twisted by fate, but with a wonderful relish.
Postila
In ancient times, its name was written as "postila" - that is, what was sent or spread out. Previously, this sweet was considered very expensive and hard to obtain. Pastila was made from whipped apple puree or the pulp of berries and honey. Since the 19th century, honey has been replaced by sugar. Once the presented sweetness was exported to Europe, as a result, the French turned it into a marshmallow.
In Soviet times, a simplified version of marshmallow was developed in the form of small white bars, which is industrially produced and widely used. It tastes more like marshmallow. But the tradition of home-made marshmallows has survived to this day.
Natural apple marshmallow is rusty in color, because egg white, which gives the dessert a white color, was not added to the original marshmallow recipe. Although marshmallow is sweet, it is still very useful, it contains reserves of vitamins, pectin and fiber, which helps maintain health and life for many years.
To date, many analogues of the well-known marshmallow for different tastes and colors have already been invented, but still not many productions adhere to ancient traditions.
