Halva
Sweets in the harem of the sultan In the harem, the sultan always had favorites and beloved wives, and other girls after many years could not pay attention. Sweets of the company "TriStar" are full of variety and absolutely every person will definitely find a favorite for himself.
Halva is a fairly popular oriental sweet consisting of a mixture of seeds, nuts, honey and oil. To this day, there are disputes regarding the homeland of this sweet, someone says that halva appeared in Iran, and others claim that halva was prepared in the V century BC in Persia.   In Iranian harems, the dessert was created for concubines, kandalatchi (halva makers) by hand. The recipe was kept in the strictest confidence even from the overlord. Over time, halva began to be added to the diet of warriors, since the product was high-calorie and gave strength and energy. Before halvet, the sultan always treated the girl to sweets, especially halva, which has many useful substances. The beloved wife of Sultan Suleiman, Hürrem Sultan, adored halva and the lord specially for her ordered to add sweetness to her daily diet.
Interesting facts: One of the most honorable professions in Iran was considered to be kandalatchi, who passed on their skills by inheritance. In the distant past, halva was treated for headaches and stomach problems. Nowadays, you can not put halva in the refrigerator or store in a place where the temperature exceeds 18 degrees. Under such conditions, halva quickly oxidizes and becomes poisonous, which can lead to serious poisoning.
